Real Estate Ray's Blog: February 2011

     I was on my way home earlier today when a Realtor friend of mine called.  He invited me to a Realtor open house that he was holding in Rocklin.  This was a problem for me because I was in Downtown Sacramento at the time, had to go to my Elk Grove home, then turn around and drive about an hour in the direction I had just traveled.  I was torn.  A friend wanted me to view his listing, but it would be a couple hours and a lot of driving to get there.  Of course, he is my friend, so off I went.  What did I find? My dream home.  A home situated on the side of a hill, overlooking Rocklin, with a beautiful pool and vineyard!  I could just imagine myself in that back yard smoking some ribs for my buddies as they relaxed in the cool, Grecian style pool enjoying some of the homemade wine produced from my personal vineyard.  Did I mention that my buddies and I had met earlier in the day for a round of golf at Whitney Oaks Golf Club?  A very short drive from my doorstep.  By the way, I did not keep score.  I cannot count that high even in my dreams.

     My wife and her friends are upstairs on the second story balcony enjoying the incredible valley view, complete with huge Valley Oaks, drinking their cool beverage of choice and taking in the gentle evening breeze.  And, since I am dreaming anyway, my wife and her friends enjoyed a round of golf with us that day too. 

     The backyard alone makes this home the perfect home for me.  I have a great backyard now so not just any backyard turns my head.  This one does make me more than a little envious.

     Then you walk inside this 4228 square foot home and find a gourmet kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and cherry cabinets.  To one side of the kitchen is a homey family room and to the other, a formal dinning room.  There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms.  The master has an huge bathroom.  There is a large window to enjoy the view as you soak in the tub.  There is another bedroom that would be considered the master bedroom in many other homes.  There is even a perfect place for my new office and a game room for my newly ordered pool table.  Click here, then input MLS #11012688 to view my dream home.
